B and q sell sheets of it if you're handy with an angle grinder/jigsaw. Might be considerably cheaper than buying a ready made set
Cheers mate...I had thought of that as I have some plate lying around. But I want it black, and also (I think) the pre formed stuff is contoured to follow the wing top.

as were mine. no gripes.
The only thing I had is the front rolled edge wasnt quite rolled enough, so make sure you fix the front first.

Wherever you get them from, things to watch out for are:
Puma wingtops are a different size and shape to older defenders. They might look the same, but when you put them side by side there is a clear difference. So make sure you order them for the right vehicle or they won't fit.
Also, decide whether you want 2mm or 3mm plate. The 2mm will be cheaper, and i found them fine for the seals, but for wing tops and bonnet you might want to go for the 3mm in case you put weight on them one day.
Also, some makes will be predrilled, which saves you time and messing around to get the mounting holes symmetrical.
I did also find that the wingtop rolls weren't quite the right amount of roll. But the neoprene gasket helps quite a bit to make it look ok.
Screwfix is a good place to get a bag of the countersunk hex bolts and washers and nuts. They are m8 if memory serves.

Paddock spare, all pre-drilled nicely and rivets supplied if you are riveting. I was only fitting rear quarters, as Landrover had not fitted them in their spec, but the 2mm ones matched perfectly with existing ones.

I recently put my chequer on and i used m6 countersunk hex bolts, 25mm in length i think, with some m6 washers and nylocks. All stainless, the only bolt hole that was a bit of a pain was the most rearward on the near side. Couldn't squueze my hand through the gap so i got some littler hands to do it.

Not really a fan of chequer plate, the only chequer plate on mine is on top of the rocksliders to act as a tread when climbing in and out but every one to there own, it wouldn't do for us all to be the same. Anyway another vote for the paddock's supplied gear I fitted a kit for a guy a few months ago, it fitted well, went on easy and still looks good despite being outside through the lousy weather and road salt from this winter.
