Rave say 99 onward if the crankshaft sensor fails , the engine will stop and fail to restart there is no limp or back up facility programmed in the ECM however if a fault develops while the engine is not running the engine may not be capable of starting and no faul code will be avilible in this case the mil light will still be illuminated .if so things to be observed
Enging cranks but does not start

Engine misfire incorrect fitting of cps
Tachometer fails to work
It is imperative the correct spacers are use for the correct air gap that I can't find as yet no gap measurements just two spacers after 1999
