Chassis problem

Thanks for your input on chassis guys, i know someone with a richards chassis and he got a 10year warranty and says its the best thing he ever did to his landy, as he never worried about MOT's.
I love my landy to much to get rid so think i'm going to go for the new chassis! Just need to find some people for the labour, as when it comes to things like chassis swaps im pretty useless!
 
Ok, its decided im getting a galvanised chassis. Its a choice between Richards or Marsland... which one? :)

richards........ by far look at both sites. all marsland are td5 modified for 300 tdi so a td5 tank if a 110 and the adjustable hitch needs to be a td5 model. Some time ago someone had a problem fitting there hitch back on after a marsland chassis, had to buy a td5 one
 
Well my defender is 90 so not sure if i would occur the same problem? everybody says they're practically the same from what i've read..
 
Thanks albert as im desperate for my car back i think i'm going to go for the marsland chassis as its a weeks delivery compared to 6 weeks for richards

Oh god, youngsters today. If you dont know how to work out the correct answer, how do you know if the computer is doing it right :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

thought you'd already done the substitution on parts on the v8 and found its derivitive is jinx?
if all values are fooked then outcome must be on them lines?
or if operator is fooked, then value dont really matter, outcome will be same.
dont need a computer for that!

I had exactly the same problem with mine the lad welding it called me to see the extent of the corrosion but managed to plate the chassis and attach the crossmember, but the rest of the chassis was shot so I had it replaced by www.specialist4x4services.co.uk and Brian cut off the new rear crossmember which I sold easily on ebay. The cost of a new chassis from Brian ( inc new springs shockers brake lines etc ) has to be compared to extensive chassis repairs.
 
Ok, going to order the marsland galva chassis tomorrow.. a few questions, do i need to get it powder coated first? is the crossmember already painted?
