I'm going to get hold of some flusher too. Want to clear out any old crap it's had in there so will fill with new plus agent then run for 10 miles, drop the oil and put new stuff in. Coolant will be getting the same treatment

Check this out.......... mix 2 quarts with a straight 30 weight for clean out. Say let run until upto operating temp at fast ideal 800-1000 rpms then change

::Marvel Mystery Oil::

Bit of a shift done today, cut the engine mounts off, got the new engine mounts off my mate which I need to modify to fit as they're a little long, remote oil filter doesn't fit so just ordered a slimline Fram filter, sorted out the bellhousing adaptor blank for one side, next I need to drill the dowel holes out to size when the local hardware store reopens so I can get a big drill bit! Following this I also removed the old bolts which had dissolved in the bellhousing and gave my mate the exhaust manifold template so he can drill and cut the blanks we have.

Oh and I accidentally sliced through the front brake lines whilst grinding......good thing I've got new axles coming anyway as they probably deserve some new lines!
I also removed the rather poorly made old bump stop extensions.....idiot didn't even weld them on properly just tacked! Gave it a few smacks with a cold chisel and hammer it just popped right off.

Anyway heres some pics......

Old mounts off.....you can see the brake fluid :doh:

Heres the starter motor holes being cleaned out

Its getting there slowly mate ;) engines going in as soon as the suspensions lifted

My mates bringing over his mig welder to do that for me while I do the crossmembers with the stick. Just a lot easier to do upside down welding with a mig than stick so makes sense :)

opps..modifiying chassis..there goes your tax exempt.;)

(i still dont believe you didnt drop the sump and check the engine out....such a chance missed):confused:
