Byway in Kent closed off?

I was doing a bit of off-roading this weekend and tried to drive a byway near Chartham near Canterbury. It runs from Garlinge green to the A28 to the south west of Canterbury.

I started up the byway and found two concrete bollards blocking it. I've found the byway on bywaymap.com, and it's also on my OS map, last updated in 2013. I haven't been able to find anywhere online saying the byway has been restricted, is anyone able to shed any light on it?

I'd like to find out either way, and ensure if it's meant to be open that the bollards are removed.

You could try emailing the KCC rights of way people. I found a similar situation in East Sussex, and the ESCC rights of way people were able to shed light on it.

Had a bit of a dig around the KCC site and it seems as though the OS map is wrong, and places the start of the Byway about 40 metres before the start that KCC give it.
