The spots I fitted to my lightbar, last year. were purchased in 1994 (not a typo) to be fitted to my Golf GTi. They never made it onto the golf & have moved half way round the country since I bought em.

Air bags came on thursday and fitted frisay morning. Is this some kind of shameful record I wonder.

I did redeem myself while putting my tools back in the shed when I noticed the new fuel filter I got last august just after I bought the car.

There it shall remain for now.............

Bought a set of brake shoes for my 1956 Series 1 in 1969, still have it (the brake shoes, not the Series 1). Might not be needing it now.

A set of american train horns with compressor, bought them in the States 8 years ago and had them shipped to the UK. Rigged them up outside my garage to test them, they were fecking loud alright, an article appeared in the local paper as people had phoned the police to see if we were under attack !!!! now back in the box. Cost best part of £400.

There's probably loads of other bits and pieces packed away never to see the light of day

Nigel, I don't think any of us are worthy after that one. You are indeed The Master.

Anything better than that would be going into the realms of "The Four Yorkshiremen" sketch.

"I bought a set of push rods for a 1912 Model T, 25 years afore Enry Ford were born........."
