Not sure about individual models but i did around 600,000 miles in total in various VW diesels and they never let me down but they would have been brand new and I gave them back at around 100,000 miles, i had one up to 140K miles from new and the only difference between that and the new one that replaced it was it the new one didn't smell of farts and sandwiches.:)

I have an A3 Audi and it has just hit 56K and the clutch slave cylinder had a problem but apart from that it has been fine and that was repaired under warranty with a free courtesy car and taxi when needed.
We probably see a lot of range rover problems because i would guess that most of them on here are already at 100K +. I can't remember who said it but a £60K car for £5K is going to have some problems.
