OOOOh so you stack the boxes on top of each other making it really easy to get to(not)...do you read your posts, or just spam **** all the time :)

What's the point of a three sided box full of gear when green-laning? It'll just spew the contents all over, which is _exactly_ what you don't want!

This is the expeditions part of the forum, numpty...and there are lots to chose from....including some with lids :)

But your link showed picking boxes, which as I said are next to useless for anything off of a tarmac roadway. If you meant any others, why not post them as Redhand did? It's a well-known company, many links to 'em on the forum if you bothered to search, but you're the only one to choose three sided picking boxes!

Thats some good stuff there griff...i like a lot.
Have you got a shelving system in place, or can you trust the self stacking(one on top of the other) ?

I am not good with wood so am looking for a shelving system that incorporates plastic boxes.
Cheers

I managed to pick up a set of Mantec Loading sides with upper shelf (I will see if I can find a photo)

The boxes are great as they stack so just bolt in a number of lashing points (I have 3 down the centre) then I just stack and use a ratchet strap to hold them down. Done the same in the trailer with some of that cargo rail stuff (in vans) 3 boxes stacked held down with ratchets.

The good thing about the plastor ones is all the sizes stack onto each other so you can get 2 300x400mm boxes onto 1 400x600mm box etc etc. Allows you to customise size for things and stack accordingly.

Will get some pics when the 90 and trailer are loaded for Siberia later this week

Photos are home made/welded steel from shelving units which we had for Morocco and the 2nd is the Mantec shelving still used today :D

Plastor also do a great range: Grey Range With Lids | Plastic Containers, Plastic Crates, Plastic Boxes & Storage Equipment Supplier
These are the boxes I use in the back of my bob tail, I keep two in there all the time, one for tools etc, the other for recovery gear. My workshop is kitted out with the same boxes so when I go away the seats fold up and I use a couple of the larger ones from there which sit snugly across the vehicle without movement. They are great, the locking lids are a good feature although I've had to replace a couple of the catches. The lids are reversible too so my 'cooking box' lid becomes a chopping board! I got mine from a supplier in Weston-Super-Mare, pretty cheap too. :)
