bluddy hell, new series 2 landy, all way to wales and back and some green/mud lanes and this morning was popping up to simons services to get some parts and KAPLUNK i got no drive in any of the wheels, hi, low, 2 & 4 wheel, in overdrive and out, freewheelers on and off and still nothing..
diff was spinning (and for some reason handbrake not working now either) but no engagement....
any ideas folks?????
its in the garage atm as need it asap and wont be able to do it myself...

are you sure you have no drive in 4wd fw hubs fitted and engaged,no hand brake function would indicate rear issue like haft shaft or diff etc ,but front could have an issue too

both diffs cant have been spinning unless you have broken 2 half shafts at exactly the same moment front n back, or u have never used 4wd and the front was already knackered??

are both diffs spinning when in 4wd but no movement?

cheers steve

Yes got it to Simons.
Diffs are spinning
Had problems with 4 wheel this weekend greenlaning in Wales which seemed to be intermittent. However I am now thinking that it wasn't working and I got lucky in places (some more difficult than places I had to be towed) so think I may have just been rear wheel driving up till it give up the ghost.
Simon will just get me going for tomorrow until he has a bit more time next week.

they did me a new diff pan at the same time as it was perforated so that and the half shaft came to £110.

Sweet! Glad you're sorted :)
You didn't get stick, how would you have known 4wd was not working unless you'd tried it and it was your first outing
Just really bad luck
But sorted now :D

exhaust done - made to measure and sounds sweet as a nutty football holigan (didnt have room for silencer) so its a straight through, pictures to follow and if interest £270 so bang goes my xmas pressy
