Just come across this on ebay (nothing to do with me), do you reckon it's really new or a recon? Worth £3000?

24 valves...I know there are 8 in the head and two in the fuel pump and one in the hot water tap where are the other 13?

Did military ones have the rocker cover painted?

thing is by the looks of it thats one of them engines thats either petrol or diesel as i can see a carb shaped lump on the manifold and a DPA shaped lump on the other side

rare as rockinhorse shyte to get one of them engines in mint condition

If you squint at the picture it looks like a camel's head - or is that the bottle of sauv blanc I've just drunk? If it's genuine it's probably worth a grand but 3? - I'd rather recon my own.

Someone had a 3.5 low comp for sale the other day on ebay, same military spec brand new etc.. looked nice
Paying 3k for a 2.25 is insane whatever it is unless some restoration classic car nutter would give 4k for it !
