im going to be making a new set of brackets that will mean no dicking about welding things, the current set up with mine has some welded in box section that I hate, but it spaced it all out perfectly.

Ill give you a shout when they are done.
 
will do, they are certainly much safer (i feel) for the passengers, with proper neck support. Mine originally had the low back seats and i felt these were not appropriate for children.

The other side was more of a challenge with the limited space.
I tried different pipe and fittings to get a good air flow in the space available but the output of air was low.
I then used the university's scanner and produced a 3D model of the dash and its assemblies minus the top because I had to gain access.
Using the scanned 3D model I developed another 3D model of what would fit into the available space and be the best compromise for good air flow.
Now using a 3D printer produced the part and fitted it.
The location of the vent is not the ideal for the job it has to do and the drivers side blower is certainly not as effective as the passenger side.
I can easily wipe the drivers side so I suppose it was not really necessary, the project entertained me an a couple of students for a couple of days.

The short version is, the side pictured (passenger) was easy the other side (drivers) not so easy (see previous post).
Not sure of the total cost but if we were to say £18.00 that would more than cover it.
The vents fitted are LR as fitted to the Puma dash I think they were about £2.50 each and I purchased from a scrappy two TD5 demister ducts http://www.landroverworkshop.com/diagrams/cooling-heating/air-conditioning/demister-flaps_52936#1
charged £8.00 for the two.
In to the duct I drilled a 20mm diameter hole into the side I wanted the pipe to exit left hand side of the left hand duct and inserted an adapter I had made from aluminium. This allowed me to connect a length of 25mm dia flexible pipe £3.00 metre (fish pond water hose from local garden centre) http://www.gardensite.co.uk/Aquatics/Black_Corrugated_Hose_25mm_1ins_per_metre.htm
Made a second adapter to fit into the side of the dash covering the hole in the dash with the Puma vent it worked but no better than the previous trunking demister fitted to the top of the dash.
Now I removed the original screen ducting and pipe completely made another adapter and piped the side window demister into the sealing bush that now worked very well but no screen demister. I pondered for a while because having a heated screen do I really need a screen demister? should I cut a second hole and have both risking neither working very effectively.
Students won the day because they wanted to go for it, another hole 31.00mm dia was cut lined with a rubber grommet 121108 http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/331/category/117(to secure the pipe)
Both screen and side window demisters were refitted and both worked effectively result.
 
You butter the cats back, the cat is then totally immobile.

Its a well known fact that cats always land on their feet, and butter always lands face down, thus you create a paradox and the cat cannot move.

You do not butter the cats back it just will not work.
You have to attach a piece of buttered toast to the cats back buttered side up, now it works.
The cat will just hover unable to fall because of the conflict between the two laws of physics with which reference you have made.
A simple mistake to make but nevertheless a mistake.
 
I was "huffing" because we ended up talking about window blowers. On another note, will my 110 fail it's MOT on emissions since I've de-catted it?

Now the decat, as I understand the mandate from vosa if your vehicle was fitted with a cat from the factory then to pass an MOT it will have to have one fitted.
I know you said that you have removed the cat and replaced it with a pipe without a cat (I do not understand why anyone would want to fit a cat as an aftermarket extra).
You need to establish if your vehicle (not any other similar vehicle) was fitted with a cat when made. The reason I say this is if a cat was optional when ordered as a new vehicle (this is the case with my vehicle) then checking on Microcat against your registration number or VIN number can determine if your vehicle was built with one or not.
When the mandate on cats change I popped along to my MOT test centre and asked the question will my 2001 TD5 110 CSW fail an MOT as it has no cat fitted. Their reply was simple we will check the emissions using the probe if the reading is within the range for your vehicle it will not fail for not having a cat.
My questioning then was about the change if it had a cat from the factory then it should have one now yet they said but we are not a Land Rover specialist and we do not know if it had one fitted.
I have checked using Microcat and the build specification of my vehicle was no cat but some were if specified by the customer.

You've echoed mostly what my Landy bloke said apart from the test, it'll be the opacity of the smoke they'll look for but as he said this he winked and said he knows plenty of guys that will "do" the MOT for me since it's a very solid truck. A little smoke never hurt, did it?

Out of interest are your seats held back by the original catch mechanism on the sides or have you secured them another way?
