It's a leccy eliment 400w 12v urn. Takes 45 mins to boil 20 cups (approx 4 litres). Just needs a positive and an earth lead and off it goes.
You keep it switched on all the time then? well, when the engines running I mean.

Yep. Some can be switched to do one cycle and then turn off. I leave mine on all the time though. If I do decide to switch it off it stays hot for 1 1/2- 2 hours.
