£720 supply n fit for a new crossmember sound about right?

They do have a bit of work to do.
Remove/refit fuel tank
Remove loom/ replace after grinding through it
Remove/refit roll cage legs
While the tanks out see if you can clean & reseal the chassis

Price is about right. :)
Is this plus VAT?

Haha true. Tbh i was expecting more like £1k!

May even be able to claim it back against me tax as i use me landy for work

Not sure about that, ask your accountant ;)

There might be a few bits you can do to ease up on the labour costs if you don't mind taking it apart and putting it back together again yourself, stuff like taking up the bed in the back and removing the step, towing and rear harness.

Seems good, if you know the quality of their work etc (which I am sure you do etc).

Find out if you can grab it before they fit it and give it a @Banks5152 paint job afore they bop it in etc

Price was inc Vat i believe!

Should be able to claim it, she said any maintenance or repair work thats integral to keeping it road worthy, which I would guess this counts as!

Ill pull my NAS step off as it needs a lick lf paint along with pas sensors and reverse camera. Then re route it all.

Ill ask for the chassis rails to be cleaned off and undersealed as well. Price did include having the xmember filled with dinitrol too.

As for paint ill leave the OEM finish maybe a few coats of CIO after its fitted save the long drives!

Just picked this up off a mate for a steal! Got the door sides and the top cover bit too

Supprised at how large it is! Really happy

Managed to get it near enough up in 15 mins and packed away in 20.

Guna have to sit on the lid along with the new mahossive tent!

I bet upon your return you will have dumped 30% of it on the way, or posted it back home! We found that out a third of the way into a 12 month trip round the coast of oz, especially tools.

No idea how much rough travel you have done so forgive the egg sucking here, just a few things i picked up....

We stayed on an island, less than .3sqm used a polystyrene coolbox lasted 8 days, the trick is to get one foookooff block of ice not those soppy blue block things etc. Other guys we met actually popped one cool box inside the other filled with water and stuck in chest freezer so they had a cool box made of ice inside a coolbox, they take cold beer very seriously etc

Take an insect attracting battery powerd LED lamp ( the size of a pack of fags ) set it up about 10 feet from your camp happy days no need to spray on nasty bugfeck!

You could always use a female multi tool kit (shoe and butter knife):p

PS panic not I think you can buy brooms there!:p

got it into my head you were travelling through africa soz having a senior moment!

yea tis a good call, the icebox ice box etc.

Always ment to do one and run clear pipe through it, like a rad type of thing. then sup me drink through that!
we had a 4 stroke genny, and had a mini freezer ( like a mini beer fridge but freezer) when we went into outback, i do love my ice!

Haha no worries!!

As do I! Hence the huge igloo holds 156L so fair bit of beer n ice for a few days!

We wanna do Rates Billing in Portugal next year the Morocco the year after

For Spain im thinking ill remove the "60" part of the 60/40 seats and fit a gas/12v fridge and the Waco cool box in place plus a few other bits!

IMO give the 12v / gas fridges a swerve, they just dont get cold enough and soon as you open the door its gone.
they suck so much power for little return, better off with an inverter or small 2 stroke genny ( red mini suitcase jobby) and run a mini freezer.
2Kw and silent/ tiny use inverter when on the move and genny at night etc

the trad camping 2/3 way work on a heat circulation method, so have a12/240v element or a gas burner to heat the same small tube (think 15mm copper about a foot long that in turn by induction is supposed to move the gas around, there simply is not enough gas in them as the process is soooo slow to move the gas around as opposed to pumped gas etc, and are just pants! ends up being a dead weight and sucks your power.

suitcase genny and small freezer has got the gutz to do the job and does not spaz out if you open it!

As i said i like my ice!

Taken a bloody while but all the camping kit is clean, packed and put away for next time. Also got the pics going, I've got FAR too many to upload on here individually so if you have FB I'll stick up the link. I'll probs post a few of my favourites though.

Got a few great videos though!

Bit of a sandy burnout, maybe a little less right foot next time  Still flew up the hill others struggled with.
