When the piston is at the top of its travel there in only a couple of millimetres between it and the closed valves.
One piston will hit the first substantially open valve that it meets.
How loud the bang will be depends on the revs being used and how far the offending valve is open at the time.
Thank you boguing is that how rockers snap? when the piston hits the valve and pushes the rocker up - causeing the rocker arm to be pushed up by the valve and the pushrod at the same time?
Cheers tom.
