Looks stunning well done cracking job I'm well jealous hopefully one day mines will look just as good as yours
Thanks, TorsionBhudda. What plans do you have for yours?

She will sail through the mot. Have faith. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Trying to, mate. MOT time is always tense. Extra tense, this one. :)

Before YOU can drive it?? I bet your mrs pinches the keys and you will have to build another.
That's good timing for that post. The Mrs has just been asking 'after the MOT on Monday, will I be able to drive the Landy to work?' :D

With so much work having been done you'll need to do at least 1000 miles before you're happy it's safe enough for your beloved wife to drive.
Or that's how I'd be playing it anyway.

Absolutely, we've already had that conversation. Hadn't put a mileage on it, but will definitely need a period of time to develop confidence in it. I think the MOT is the first small step along that road.

I'm currently in process of exchanging bulkhead got a Galv one coming from Ashtree this week(hopefully) got it all stripped just going through everything had to weld few patches to chassis and replace bulkhead outriggers. Keep meaning to start a thread on it but by time I get home at night from working on it after work I'm knackered lol

Ahh, yes. I remember.
I hope your bulkhead turns up, if you're ready for it. Ashtree are nice people but, in my experience, not the best organised at times. I ended up with a 200Tdi bulkhead, rather than the 300 one I ordered. I didn't realise until it was too late, so make sure you check yours out when it arrives. They deliver themselves and wait until they have enough to fill the van. Speed of delivery depends on how quickly orders are coming in. That was how they did it when I got mine anyway.

I'm asked for it to be delivered on 10th June sent an email today asking if they where still OK to deliver then, not had a reply yet I'll give them a call tomorrow. Mines a 200tdi will definitely compare new one to old once I get it.

It's a good run from their place up to where you are. Hopefully, they've got more orders from up your way already.
Check mounting holes are in the right place. Possible fuel filter mounting holes will be a good thing to check. The 300 filter is on the drivers inner wing, but IIRC you need the two holes on the bulkhead.

Thanks for the advice I'll be double checking everything. When I first spoke to them they said their son lived not far from me in Edinburgh so where going to use delivering bulkhead as an excuse to visit him.

I'd be curious to find out if it turns up when promised. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for the Mot
i'm sure there will be no problems
looks great, and a great rebuild thread
Cheers greyhar. Very kind. I'm still finding things I have forgotten to do. The final exhaust bracket arrived from YRM tonight and so I put it straight on. Lying underneath I spotted bolts for the centre seat that I hadn't tightened down! I'd left them because it's easier to have someone inside and someone underneath at the same time, but realised I'd not got around to asking the Mrs. Not the end of the world, but it would have caused a bit of hassle on Monday's MOT time.

Did you see my post about the Malvern show? Not a lot of help being so long ago. It was a massive event the year I went, I'm surprised no one else has been on here.

Hope it all goes well for the MOT. I've really enjoyed following your build and have appreciated your help too. I'm sure it will sail through!

Cheers, Karls. I've had loads of help on here, so it's nice to know I've managed to give a little back.

Well, I've just dropped her off at the garage ready to go through the MOT on Monday.
Little bit of grey smoke coming out the back, but Mrs said it disappeared quite quickly on the way to the garage. Hopefully, just condensation from just ticking over on the drive and the odd 80yd run down the street and back. Exhaust gases do smell strange, I wonder if that is due to the new DPF?
It drove well and, although it was mostly country lanes to the garage, managed to get it up to 50mph at one point. Still smooth and no vibrations. :)
