a bit of a fire , a few carrots and peas and a stock cube then ..:violent: sorted and a healthy stew to boot :deadhorse:

It's not the first time I've been guilty of making a quick film in haste when I've been irritated!

There is a description on YouTube that goes with it and hopefully makes it clear but I guess most people just watch hoping for a Horse Rider to be doing something really silly!

It wasn't really what I was getting at although I did think that maybe one of those riders wasn't experienced enough to be on that road!

LOL, with horses it often isn't experience, its nerve. I know people who haven't been riding long who would have pushed that horse forward. And others who have been riding for 30 years who would have got off.

Most horses take their confidence in any situation from the rider, so if the rider is worried, so is the horse

:D:D:D:D and if the rider has a set then the horse can do anything:D

Pretty much, or at least it will give it a go.

Put a nervous rider on our cob and she is scared to go out on her own and bolts home.

I can take her out in one of those American halter things, no saddle and a cig in one hand and she will go past anything. Which is a dammed good thing cause if she didn't I would fall off :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

kids can take there horses with a snap on each end of a lead rope, on the side of the halter and go bare back with where ever they want if the chose. ;)

here the biggest thing is dogs coming from the houses when you go past them. Drivers give a wide go by, into other lane if traffic permits and they slow down. Never really been a issue with cars. We used to have teams and wagon and would hitch up and drive to town for dinner or ice cream cone during the summer, sharing the roads with cars, truck or what ever speed was 55mph on some of them and never a issue

My wife's horse is pretty bomb proof till he sees an umbrella then oh no its like a sherman tank has just jumped out in front of him,she has had to ask people to put them down before now just so she can get past them hence he now keeps getting one put up in front of his stable so he can learn its not going to eat him.

I once drove my horse and waggon along the the A36/A338 to avoid a days journey to get over the river Avon on the outskirts of Salisbury.

A hours nightmare of smoke belching HGVs and horn blaring, impatient cars drivers. My lad took it all in his stride and never twitched until we were finally turning into a quiet country lane when a wind blown crisp packet had him trying to climb through a hedge like he had a firework up his arse :eek:

If I'm riding a horse that isn't too confident with certain traffic (and lets face it Ellebartos colour scheme is pretty bright ...with a row of big glassy eyes looking at you!:D) I would be more inclined to give him the signal to stop , then pushed my horse on to pass HIM whilst he was stationary , rather than let him crawl past me at low speed , but I guess all riders have different views based on their animals experience.:)

Ha ha ..love it BB , they are such fickle creatures:rolleyes:
I have on more than one occasion had to squeeze Cobweb between a Cornish hedge and a double decker bus - luckily she doesn't bat an eyelid .....but a little pink campion blowing in the wind ...aghhhh :D:D

Haha!! I feel the need to point out the Green DISCO is not mine!!!

As has been said in our little group. We like lime and we like green but Lime Green!!!!:eek::eek:

God knows what happened to that pair if any of the trail bikes were around.

Indeed! I've commented before about how the nature of the beast (mechanical, not equine) means that trail bikes have to make more noise and fuss to negotiate some of the obstacles which Landys just grumble over ;)

LOL @ the crisp packet! Horses didn't survive 60-odd million years of evolution by ignoring the evil presence of crisp packets :D

I cant tell you how much abuse I'm getting from this video. OK I might not have helped by entitling my forum thread Annoying Horse Riders but the video it pretty clear I thought! Not being a horsey type person myself I cant even defend myself to any great extent but I will have to use that final line about the crisp packet! Excellent!

Perhaps a few of us need to comment, off to have a look :D:D
