Be interesting o do a poll to see how LZ is used - I can't imagine not being able to use LZ live but it seems others don't use it- if the majority use it then its not necessary to post it anywhere else just give you guys the heads up, however if Live isn't that well used well- i dunno
Yeah....I kinda assume most check 'My Topics', 'My Replies' and then sit on 'LZ Live'.......cause that's what I do....which is a pretty stupid assumption
Ok heres what occured to me as I always go to my replies, my topics then sit on LZ live too.
How about all LZIR volunteers making a point of checking LZIR first
A few more numbers would be handy too I'm pretty sure I only have MHM's number.

Why not post emergencies to every section?
Some peeps only look in the tangier or gaylander bits.
There is a LZIR bit for a reason.
LZ live is a good way of keeping tabs on what is going on, providing yu don't mind being flooded sometimes when one thread " kicks off".
On other good option is " my subscriptions" which is a list of topics that you have posted on. Any new posts are in bold.
Best way to notify us is by pm, unless you know our number(s), in which case text. Please bear in mind we do, occasionally, have lives outside of LZ.

I never use LZ Live.
I go to My Replies, then New Posts. Occasionally My Topics, but that's usually covered in My Replies.
Will make a point of checking LZIR also in future.

I just use the main index so I see new LZIR threads when I come online but must confess if they are mile away I don't do anything assuming someone else has picked them up, my bad, in future I'll do summat else.
Can we have a definitive list of people to pm?

Can see that happening .......not all members give a **** about other members gettin stuck..chances of a member that does give a **** are slim imo

Maybe we're all trying to over-think it? If anyone notices a post on LZIR that hasn't had a response, just ask on that thread .. which bumps the post, moves it again onto Live where more members will see it. Until someone with a clue of the map or the members with phone lists see it and replies to the thread that ought to work reasonably.
The problem is, as I see it, that many members assume, as I do, that if it's on LZIR then someone's probably already sorting it out!!
.. and let's face it .. 1 1/2 hours isn't long on a sunday for an internet forum to respond, can't expect people to forget real life.

That was my first thought anorl, if a thread gets commented on it's more likely to be seen....but then if not many folk use Live......
No 1 1/2 hours int bad but I'd been on-line most of that time and it's only cause I was doing other stuff and logged out and back in again that I saw it.
Wasn't a dire emergency so no harm done it just got me thinking

How about this, I can create a distribution email like [email protected] that forwards emails to the address' of any members who want to receive notifications, then create a LZIR user on landyzone and subscribe it to the LZIR forum.. Wala, someone posts in LZIR and all the right people get a email
