Phwoarrrrrr look the outriggers on that!!!

Thanks guys. It has already been dirty, I took it to a club trial for a test/tuning day. I am planing to go to Nottingham land Rover club next weekend who have an offroad day at Stainby and then at the end of May I will be at the ALRC national at Horam east sussex.

It's only 5 years out of your life. Sure you didn't need them anyway. :p
It was 5 years of fun really. I have to find something else to do now, though I do have a 2A here that I am fitting a rear crossmember on, rebuilding the steering and removing the MK5 transit engine and fitting a 2 1/4 petrol back in. It's for an old guy who purchased it in the 60's. the thing hasn't got a dent in the body.

You can't say that and not put a picture of it on. ;)

Hi OWL, well done, looking forward to seeing you at Copford Farm and seeing that awsome project. Me and Stutab are booked in along with Jai_landrover. I spent the weekend fiddling with the dizzy on my 80, god knows how I did it or what I did (I hate electricals) but got her running sweet again. Last weekend it was caughing and spluttering and failing to get any power, but still valiantly completed the RTV.
Basically I reset the vacuum advance and static timed the engine, then reset the points (I bought the wrong sparkright electronic ignition unit) and sudenly it was driving without any missing.

Yes Killajoules I will see you at the national, I am looking forwards to it. I haven't competed for many years so I am mainly going for the social. Buxton and district have an event this weekend, a pay and play on Sunday and a trial on Monday. I am going to do the sunday as I can spend many hours practicing and getting used to the motor, plus I can stop and tweek it if needed. So the national will be it's first event.
Good to hear the 80 is running good and that you are still trialing it, they are getting valuable now and I can see many trialers being restored and shut up in a garage never to see dirt again which will be a shame.
