Yeah I think they need to be black, Just wasn't sure on satin or gloss.

So this mornings first job was to temporarily fit the spats, Wanted to see what they look like standard non painted.
Decided they looked **** and took them off. More on this later.

Went and picked an aircon grill panel up. I haven't got a panel at all and this was reasonably priced locally so thought I'd see what it looks like.

Test fitted it and it sticks out ALOT further than I thought it would
May end up changing it for a standard one as I'm not reet sure about it.
On a plus note I could get a HUGE intercooler behind there

So seeing as I was painting me grill I thought I'd paint a spat up and see what they look like colour coded.
If I don't like it they'll go gloss black I think.

Yep, That's my thoughts, But I had the paint out so thought I'd give it a try. Only done one and prepped the rest for when I decide

Panel wipe a few times before I paint. Guess it's kind of similar.
To be honest looking at the pic now I like it like that.
But when it was in front of me I thought it looked ****.

Gloss black will look very nice.
Aaron did you order standard suspension dampers and springs.?! I need to replace mine but want to keep it standard hight. Was thinking of the OEM Armstrong set. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay.?!

I'm using standard height Allmakes springs. (For not a lot of money.) But I've fitted a few sets of them and never had a problem. Will have a look and tell you an exact price if you want?
As for shocks as daft as it sounds I actually haven't fitted any yet. Cant decide weather to fit Armstrongs as you say or something like Bilstein's.

I've replaced my shocks all round with armstrong and haven't had any issues so far. Paid around £18 each from ebay i think....

Aaron, do ma a favour mate and save me hunting through the 40 odd pages of your thread. Before you put your 2k epoxy primer on your radius arms, axles etc, did you use any form of rust converter?

And hold yer horses I haven't got that far yet Nope I just applied straight to clean metal. Although I used etch primer as that's what I had.
Epoxy does the same sort of thing but better

Give that front grill a bit more time before changing it. It sort of goes with the bonnet, makes it look less bulbous.
