A serious case of 'Flatulance'

Time for a little update though progress has been painfully slow, mostly due to lack of funds but bits and pieces turn up every now and then.

Probably the most major thing is aux battery and split charge is up and running with internal lights, rear work light and 12v power points running off it.

The back has been stripped of flaky paint, holes filled, bulkhead hatch enlarged and painted and looks a lot more civilised :)

Finally ermmm...found some wood for trim and cupboard doors and had a bash at it after work today and tanti;isingly close to to having them fitted.......but not quite :Cry;

Getting there though :)

Time for a thread resurrection.

Nearly 2 years later and she's back :D:D:D

Got her into the workshop last night and have spent a couple of hours crawling over, in and under her.

After an oil chance, a fresh gallon of petrol and being turned over by hand a few times she started up 3rd turn of key :)

My biggest fear has been tin worm but the chassis and bulkhead seem to have survived abandonment surprisingly well. Drivers footwell needed doing anyway but still repairable rather than replacement and I'll do the passenger side where it's getting thin.

Main chassis rails and crossmembers still look and sound good with a small amount of welding needed on two outriggers.

The electrics still work as they should now I've swapped the starter battery and the aux battery is holding charge.

The main issue is she's been sat outside with a leaking roof vent. I have upgraded replacements but the lining in the back has warped quite badly though still appears sound. I'll leave it to air thoroughly before decided in whether to strip out and replace.

Not had a chance to go over bushes and bearings yet but overall, after a tough couple of years, I'm well chuffed :)
