A question about LPG and the tailgate lock.

I totally forgot about this thread.

The issue related to the door locking mechanism has now been solved.

The lock was sticky and I disassembled it and tried re-greasing the various parts to no avail.
A sourced a new lock mechanism locally and fitted it within 20 minutes.
Using the remote key fob now locks all the doors as normal and the tailgate is isolated once the drivers door is locked too.

Keep the old lock for spares, you can use the motor in any of the door locks. Sounds as if you had a micro switch problem.:)
 
Hi, at the moment it hasn't got any gas in it but then it has only been back on the road for a week since I had repaired the car after a blown head gasket.

I will be putting some in on Monday, assuming the LPG place is open being a bank holiday and all.
It'll be interesting to know whether the head gasket was a contributing factor to how it cut out at junctions when running on gas.
