i paid 1500 for a decent defender and 900 for a disco...you do the maths....

Doesn't matter though ASFAIK ;) his will have to be put back into the same road going condition it was in before the accident

Buying another may be cheaper for them but they have to, if they don't he could take them to court or even the volvo driver :p make them pay IMO their loss and the volvo premium will go up nicely

Find Bluehaze thread about his........ got everything repaired with a new galvanized chassis and all the did was stand his ground and insurance paid for everything and a garage did the work. Bluehaze chose the garage

He crashed into your 90 and damaged it. You want it returned to a serviceable condition. The only question is the extent of the damage, who will repair it and what it will cost.

Bollox to 'writing it off' - it is your 90 and the other chap's/his insurers job to put it right. Have an independent engineer have a look at it and submit a report.

That's the trouble with having a vehicle capable of operating in adverse conditions - incompetent clowns on ice skates out there with you.

Don't give an inch - that's your 90. Get the bastards to fix it.

PS Pressbrake's cross members look outstanding.

Thats hard luck. I fitted one of clives cross members a couple of weeks ago, fantastic bit of kit.

I bet there was some colourful language when the driver realised what he was about to hit!

Peep needs to stand his ground and get it fixed at the others( insurance expense) expense with a new chassis, body repaired with new panels and painted and nothing less.

He needs to spend time reading Bluehaze thread.

Fook a replaced rear cross member at the moment

Just going to read the links now cheers im not in a great rush to get the landy back its annoying not having it but tbh its just a toy i dont need it other that in snow when our other cars cant get out... Theyve delivered me a 61 plate twin cab hilux today and i will be specifying that it has to go to Cyril G Groombridge as they have a good reputation and i know a guy who occasionally does some work for them.

Cheers Mike

just read the other two topics all very interesting thanks again for the advise will see what they come back with... the annoying thing is how they will drag it out for so long when it could be fixed in a weekend

dont worry they can take their time with it if they want to ill get my way in the end lol no desperate rush to get my car sorted...

Mike
