hi i have come to the conclusion something is back feeding through the ecu what i don't know

at the snipped wire ecu side i have 2.5 v and cam position sensor side battery voltage

on the donor car its 0v ecu side and battery cam position side

whoops what a bell end !!!

it has the same colour wire on the same connector one goes to the air valve the other to the cam sensor

any way i have checked both vehicles the same way all outputs etc are exactly the same

front end tear down

We'll I've stripped the front off took an hour most time spent with the bloody sump millions of bolts and .........

Yep the chain is so slack it could probably go around a twin cam just need the parts now

Did mine this evening too...yep the sump took the longest part of the job!

Yey I have a lpg kit to fit to my other while I wait for parts for this one, I bought another for peanuts to break for Parts for this but since I have got it's it's quite good and since I have one I might as well have 2, so the disco is going up for sale 300 tdi

Not sure I am making the right decision?

Well There you have it the broken the forsale and the donor, is this a typical landrover household, I am glad I don't rely on any of them !

If the bolt protrudes into the water jacket you would expect some instruction to apply sealant to the threads which is standard practice. There is no such instruction i can see in the manuals.
