right, I cant get hold of v8 tuner for love nor money, phone just rings out to voicemail and you cant order on there webiste (which is pointless in 2014).

I really need to put the cam in next so I can check the valve to piston clearance but I want to fit the cam button at the same time so does anyone know where I can get one?

looks like no cam button for me then :(

"The Teflon Thrust Bolts are not suitable for early Rover V8 engines as the cam bolt thread rate is imperial and not metric. Suggest consider installing a thrust plate and machinig the cam and block to accept as per the post 1995 engines "

I dont fancy drilling and tapping my nice clean oily engine at this stage lol

Noisy I though you bought an early rv8 when you did yours, but you fitted the button didnt you?

you could braze the end of a std bolt after grinding head to the right thickness, though lr just used a thin headed bolt

surly you dont need that??its hardly a performance lump.(well built yes.)..you wont be pullung 7000 rpm i expect??

it just seemed like a prudent move for £25, the thread is just the normal imperial thread as its a 74 engine so like earlier rv8.

I will double check this as u never know he cam being newer and a performance part may have metric thread for some reason
