If it revved to 6k you would be topping out at around 180 mph

Mines governed to 150:D:D

135 :0 i'd be lucky if mine hit 75 with 235 85 tyres it shakes past 65 even though the tracking has been done and new track rod ends and drag links i hit the caps by mistake, i dont want speed just it running right its all about keeping these landy on the road

Best be checking the swivel pre-load and the steering geometry anorl ...

I'm not meaning to have a pop at you Biggzy, but seriously don't you know that all the power from these engines is between 1800rpm (peak torque) and about 3300rpm. If you feel you need to rev it more than that you are not understanding the engine and could damage it.

Also your turbo won't be operating while you just rev the engine while stationary - it doesn't kick in until the engine is starting to work by pulling something along, like the car !!!

Btw, why do you think the TDi engine should rev to 7000rpm? Never in a million years was it designed to do that.

See now both posts have come into one somehow, the snoot comment made me laugh :) 5 yrs in the army over 1 year in Iraq with a s**t smell i still have up my nose and 7 yrs in prison I'm so far from snoot

Look lads I'm not wanting to kick off no more I've got a good life now but put yourself in my shoes, ppl open their mouths when I'm asking for help of course I'm going to bite

I've not got any power after 2.3k I only go upto 2.5k when I'm overtaking a tractor ect I don't need to rag it but something isn't right

Do you run on veg oil?

Check the sedimentor behind the rear drivers side wheel isn't gunked up.

I had exactly the same issue as you. Mine wouldn't even rev past 2500. Fuel starvation issue. My sedimentor was gunked and was partially blocking my fuel lines

change air & fuel filter and check hoses aren't collapsing under load.

They are both new well a month old or so now I've checked and rechecked every thing I've fitted even to the point I've taken it off and had a good look at it again I'm now thinking my turbo has given up (but I can hear it) or the intercooler is split
