cant find someone to balance them as they complain they are to big to fit
135 :0 i'd be lucky if mine hit 75 with 235 85 tyres it shakes past 65 even though the tracking has been done and new track rod ends and drag links i hit the caps by mistake, i dont want speed just it running right its all about keeping these landy on the road

hi all,
i have just done lots of work to my first disco cleaned intercooler new intercoolers hoses cleaned injectors new seals new manifold gasket cleaned intake manifold de cat and so on but i was sat in the drive giving it a rev after i de catted it and noticed it wouldnt rev past 4.5k ive also changed leak off pipes and other fuel lines going to and fron tthe pump does anyone have any ideas? it has been slugish and i'm not feeling the turbo kick in as much as i used to

I'm not meaning to have a pop at you Biggzy, but seriously don't you know that all the power from these engines is between 1800rpm (peak torque) and about 3300rpm. If you feel you need to rev it more than that you are not understanding the engine and could damage it.
Also your turbo won't be operating while you just rev the engine while stationary - it doesn't kick in until the engine is starting to work by pulling something along, like the car !!!
Btw, why do you think the TDi engine should rev to 7000rpm? Never in a million years was it designed to do that.
change air & fuel filter and check hoses aren't collapsing under load.
