No, A tube over a ratchet will strip and kill your ratchet...the forces required to both undo the crank bolt and then do it up again ,will kill it! A decent breaker bar is worth its weight in gold...esp. for the head bolts too...

2 ft bar is all you need for head bolts , decent 1/2 inch batter gun does crank bolt or a tube on the 2ft bar
30" bar not big enough for the crank bolt. Should I buy a metre one instead of looking for a tube?
