209tdi oil light problem Help please

Hello everyone, was hoping for a little bit of help,recently I have reconditioned the engine in my defender and put her back in yesterday everything seemed fine until it started getting to temperature when the oil light started flickering if you reved a tiny bit it would go until you let off, it had happend befor the engine was taken out but thorght shells rings ect was going to cure this :-( I have changed the oil had a new sender switch, taken the oil pump apart tp check everything and all worked fine, I have read on past forums to up the revs but until I did this was checking it the right thing to do???? Or am i hiding a problem??? Any help or advise would be very much appreciated.

Does make me wonder if the oil switch is faulty - i know you've replaced it but could be a dud or the wrong spec

Oil light usually stays off at very low revs

Supose I could try another one first but if I unplug the switch it goes out which makes me thibk it working ??

Have a search for the fred i started about oil light flickering.. Loads of good info on there..

Could it be the oil pump is worn out? Unless the 200Tdi doesn't have one, but I am sure it does.

Thanks for the help fixed it now strangly changed the thermostat and has fixed it??
