Hi all,
I bought myself a 2010 Range rover sport 3.0 tdv6 hse fairly recently, and it was flawless until two months ago.
I was driving on the motorway at around 80mph when a red warning triangle popped up on the dash, along with the words restricted performance. Then within seconds the car completely cut out. I lost everything except the lights, which was a bit scary at that speed!
I had the car recovered to my home address, and typically, the next day, the country went into lockdown due to the pandemic. So I have not been able to get it into any garage for inspection.
I have had a mobile mechanic look at the car, who changed the mega fuse which had blown, so now the car cranks, but it will not fire.
After reading codes, the only one was a correlation between the maf and map sensors. So I changed all three. I also changed the fuel filter for good measure.
There is fuel getting to the rails, but no firing. I tried spraying easy start down the air intakes, but still nothing.
The mobile mechanic said it could be an issue with the dpf, but as it gave me no prior warning, and as I was on the motorway at the time it went, this seems unlikely?
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be at fault at all please?
It's been off the road for two months now, and with garages still shut, it's driving me mad!
Thankyou.
