2005 Td4

Hi Chaser I don't think its the battery either to be honest, where do I find the solenoid connector? Please

provided all connections are clean and tight the starter motor is usually the culprit given the symptoms. Your going to need a manual if your that unfamiliar with your Td4, it'll always be handy. The starter is down the front of the block alongside cylinders 3 + 4.

make sure everything is turned of even switch your cd player if you have one back to radio because the cd memory takes a small current and another test is in the dark start up the car and put everything on then put you foot brake on if the diodes in the alternator are playing up you ingintion light will glow dimly if it is just your starter motor then yes get one of the kits they are easy to do the hard part is taking it of and that is not so bad take battery box off as there is a stud above the gear box you need to take that out I can not remember I think it is a 17mm then the 2 that you can see on the starter motor you are just servicing the solinoid not the motor its self if you need any more info pm me

Thanks for your msg, since i charged the battery it's actually been running fine but i will do the test as you suggested.
