Hi everyone, I have found the location of the boost pressure sensor (MAP) on my vehicle. But I'm wondering if I can remove this sensor without removing the intake manifold? If anyone knows, they will know that it's a very confined area. How can I remove it with what tools? Thanks for your help.
 
Thank you for your reply. I tried to remove the map sensor, but I don't think I found the right tool. Which of the tools in the pictures below is the best way to remove the map sensor?

If you have a spare 10mm socket, tap an allen key into the end of the socket and that will do the job for you, but it also only takes about 20minutes to remove the manifold ? have a magnet ready on a telescope pole just is case.
 
I thought about removing the manifold, but when I put it back on I thought the gaskets would have to be replaced. I don't want to spend extra money so I'm just wondering about the condition of the MAP sensor.

All the rubber gaskets can be reused no problem, it also gives you chance to clean out the manifold, remove the MAP sensor and wipe that clean with a rag with some carb cleaner or brake cleaner on the rag, wipe clean the gaskets with just an old rag nothing on it.

You can clean the manifold out with oven cleaner leave to soak at least 24hrs then jet wash the manifold out with the MAP sensor removed of cause, or take it to many of the pop up car cleaners about and get them to jet wash it out to you maybe cost £5

Scrap and clean out the EGR with swarfega and an old tooth brush then finally spray it clean with carb/brake cleaner.

Diesel manifold you will need 10mm sockets and 11mm sockets, screwdriver flat blade.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Every stage is very valuable to me. Thank you very much for your effort. I just want to ask you this. The carburetor screws are too tight. Do they have a torque value? Also, will it cause a problem when forced?

Carburetor the TD4 does not have one? are you referring to the manifold bolts or PCV bolts
 
I'm sorry, I said carburetor instead of manifold. I'm talking about manifold bolts
Manifold bolts are bottom four 11mm nuts and one 11mm bolt.

Top row are all 10mm captive bolts and are not that tight so undoing them should be easy, i will try and add a few photos over the weekend.
