2" lift on 110

hi all

in need of advice, i have a 110 double cab and have fitted a 2 inch lift to it about 2 months ago. i brought it as a kit, but it doesnt sit level the back is massivly higher then the front, the rear springs are 50mm rated at 500kg each and the front are 40mm and rated at 50kg each, thats what i got supplied in the kit, so my Q is can i fit 90 rear springs which are 50mm rated at 200kg each to the front of my 110 and will that pick the front up at all? thanks

Can you post some photos? 110's do sit higher on the back as standard anyway.

Mine sat higher on the back. I bought mine as it was but it has heavy duty springs.
I've got some kit in the back and it's levelled out a bit and not as bone shaking when going over a bump

i know they sit a bit higher on the back but mights just crazy, i had to cut some of the arch to be able to fit 33 inch tyres, which i shouldnt of had to do,

that looks to sit the same as mine.
if you try to lift it more at the front you would probably need a double cardon prop, castor correction radius arms etc... costs increase!

i wont be lifting it more at the front ill just be taking the 50kg 2 inch spring out of the front and putting a more heavy duty spring a 90 rear 200kg spring in, hopeing it will level it out a bit more

Want it level coz it looks like it should be, as most other 110 I have seen are level, also I should of had to hotknife my archs to fit 33inch tyres on a 2 inch lift so something isn't right on the front

those tyres you have tend to be slightly larger than 33" in diameter I found. My 33" tyres rub the tiniest smidge on full lock and mine is a similar lift.

If you level it and have a heavy load in the back itll look weird!

Also you are putting more than a 2" lift on the front then and this could impact on the stability of the vehicle, front prop etc

I wont fit more then 2 inch ill just swap the 2 inch springs I got on there which are britpart da4202, and swap them with da4205, if you look up the spec u shall see the difference, mine don't rub on full lock they just used to catch the back of the arch.

I knew this was the britpart kit even before you mentioned it because I have the identical one. My initial decision just like yours was to use the 40mm rears instead of the 50mm rears which carry the rating of about 420lbs per inch. In my opinion, if like me you travel mostly unloaded the back tends to suffer from over extension. I have decided to go with standard springs even though almost everyone says to keep the lift as it looks cool but they don't have to endure the ride.

must be something about britpart then, yeah i travel around with a fair bit of wait in the back but still not that much in the back, i dont know weather to put heavy duty 90 rear springs on the front , as i like how high it is at the back, i just want to pick the front up.

if you put heavier springs on the front the ride could be affected as the spring rate will be higher and you may suffer a more jarring ride.

What about a 1" spacer block instead? that way the spring rate is unaffected. Ok you lose 1" of suspension travel technically unless you change your dampers as well... but mergh. Depends what you use the vehicle for

Or fit wide arches and cut the wing back
