2.5 n/a to 200tdi questions.

Hi chaps,

Sorry to be a pain again, I am going to view/buy a 200tdi on the weekend, to stick in my 110 86 n/a landy. I am experianced with engine building and swaps, (Nova VXR, 3.0 Corsa C, 3.2 astra etc)

I have a few little questions, If i use the disco rad and cooler, will the defender 200TDI coolant pipes work? As I will order all new coolant pipes as they are buttons.

Also, is it worth sticking a honking big front mount cooler on the truck? Or is the standard tiny one ok?

Not looking to win races, I have other toys for speed, but I want it to have more go then the awful NA mill.

The engine will be further away from the radiator than it is in the Disco so you may need to fabricate oil and coolant pipes.

There are plenty of threads by people who have done this, and it's not too difficult, but it's not a bolt in conversion. There will be plenty of little issues you will come across. Exhaust downpipe is one of them...

defender 200 top rad hose will work as rads are the same, everything else is slightly or vastly different, but all doable.
