P38A 2.5 dse gearbox oil cooler hoses and rad replacement

Hi all am going to be replacing the hoses on my DSE as both leaking badly and possibly the rad if they end up stripping the thread just a quick question do I need to drain the transmission fluid first or is it jus the amount in the radiator and the hoses that will come out many thanks in advance

no you need to drain transmission just use a container to collect whats in the pipes

Not sure but it might be a good idea to put fresh oil and filter in while yer at it. Chances are its never bin done

Thanks for help all done new sump bolts new drain and fill plugs new filter, gasket, fluid, new cooler and hoses not bad for 5 hours work even if I do say so myself but would not of even attempted any of it without the help from
You guys on here so much appreciated
