@Paul in Sussex , three options come to mind [I too have a 200tdi but with a new original type copper core with brass header radiator]
1. take you new alloy radiator and oil hoses to any good hydraulic shop/company and they adapt for you. You could call Pirtek and their local man in a van can come to you.
2. send back alloy rad and buy a new copper core with brass headers radiator as this will ensure guaranteed original fittings. The drawback here is that they're £360 [from memory], the plus side being should this original type of radiator fail they can be readily repaired/brazed.
3. take your old radiator along to a radiator fabricator and they'll readily make up a new copper/brass unit for you with the right female fittings - there's a very good radiator repair place in Caversham, Reading.
+ just thought of a fourth option, call PA Blanchard and see if they have an original in their stock.
