Update: My first visit to specialist showed no noise from engine, after driving back home it started so back I went and noise was very evident. The initial thoughts are its from one of the rockers, so we are going to go the cheaper route first and change the oil and filter as its unknown, and...

Rear door wouldn't open, stripped out inner door panel lubricated moving parts and bingo all sorted. Tried to see why front parking sensors wouldn't work, only to find I don't have any,lol

Going to pop in to Aylmers tomorrow and get one of there specialists to have a listen. Then hopefully we can look at getting it booked in.;)

Always said I would never own a V8 but I go to shows just to listen to them, yesterday I bought my first V8, and I'm loving it so far. Got a few issues to sort then I can relax and enjoy the rumble..

The tapping/nocking noise isn't there when cold, only when it reaches temp, when I drive it in sport mode and keep revs a little higher it isn't there, as soon as it goes to idle, then comes bottom end noise. Any further ideas with this information.

Not worked on a v8 , is it engine out jobby? Or can crank be dropped out from below?
