Thanks for the input guys. Yes it does make the noise in low ratio too. It's hard to tell from the video sound - but the noise starts around 2000rpm in 1st and quieter but the same in 2nd. However - load does seem a factor too... if I let the revs creep up slowly the noise is much less...
