Freelander 1 td4 2ltr manual abs and bearing issue

@blue beasty could you move to the Freelander thread please?

    Wanted

3-gun used ones generally end up on the Bay of E for about £60. TBH, you can get a new one for not too much more, that is guaranteed BS approved. And when yer cabinet is one of the things that could displease yer FEO, I’d go new every time! He’d be best looking locally, as shipping stings on...

Front lower wishbone: 2006 FL 1

I’d just replace it all, bushes as well. Don't faff about with it, its not a lot more ££.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyres (again)

The Wildpeaks also have the 3 peaks marking. I’ve been up and down the motorway on them and can honestly say I find them no different to the G015, and wouldn’t call them noisy.

FL2 NO START / NO DASH

Are you sure the battery is good? I say that as I know these cars are really fussy about the battery, and power hungry. You have a crash input code showing, which AFAIK can be caused by the battery power falling too low. Couple this with very cold weather…?

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Tyres (again)

Literally fitted these a month or so ago. So far, really nice, not noisy at all and good in the wet. Good grip off road. I fitted Geolander 015’s on the F1 - they also perform well in all conditions including green laning. I think the Wildpeaks look a little more aggressive, which I like -...

Front lower wishbone: 2006 FL 1

Have you sprayed it with penetrating fluids over a few days, then just tried a good 6-sided socket on a breaker bar?

They had some in Launceston this morning - they told me it got fairly sketchy on the A30 over Okehampton.

Apart from being discombobulated, you shouldn’t get too disgruntled over it. Hmm…..

    Has a 2014 Fl2 a cold start procedure?

AFAIK, you can just depress & hold clutch, push the start button and release it immediately… the car will do what’s needed behind the scenes and start itself when ready. That said, I was shown by a Sage on here to push the button to switch on ignition, and allow it to do its vehicle checks...

How the language has evolved fascinates me too. English has had an awful lot of external influences over the centuries and learning how some of todays words came about can be really interesting. This statement leaves me discombobulated… 🤔😉
