NOT the red one - that will bugger the system.! LR recommend Pentosin CHF 202, but others will meet the ford spec. It is a green fluid.

There is a pollen filter in the cabin, in the passenger seat footwell...

Never had to get to mine on the F1 so unsure, but on the F2 you need a cut-away socket to turn the nut and hold the allen key in place. You just can't get the angle / depth with a spanner. ... and don't over-tighten!!!

The oil filter housing is a bit awkward to get off. Most use a flex-head spanner (27mm)

You have to ignore the thread - that's what it said. But check the thread often for updated info about ignoring my post in it.

Being a 2009, I don't think it'll have DPF (my MY2009 hasn't). I went with Castrol Magnatec on my last change - I'd rather spend a few quid more on a decent brand. It needs to meet a Ford standard. I'll try and dig it out...
