    It bolts somewhere yeah, but it was tight. Problem was there was just half an o ring in place. Cheap chinese one out of a set saved the day. If it starts leaking again it will get replaced with a viton, although hard to source here.

    So hammering it did not help, but luckily after driving it around for a while and especially on a very bumpy road, the vibration seems to be almost gone.

    I understand that the originals are not phased. Should i then refit the splines back out of phase? They are rather stiff i have to say! Yokes are free to move. No vibration in the seat. I can try to hammer the yoke on the weld however.

    We tried to make one as shown by some person on YT, but found it to be too much hassle and you can simply get a rough measurement of the alignment with a caliper, one measurement on the upper and one on the lower side of the axle. Identical measurements and it's likely that it's okay.

    That's what I thought as well, and I've been told the little thing is only for the EGR. Mine is disconnected and runs fine. Throttle is via cable.

    Thanks for the reply, If I remember correctly, it's a Castrol "GTX", I think the main selling line was that it keeps your engine clean - although I imagined this would mean cleaning all the built up gunk and inevitably getting dirty.
