Disco 1 Should I be concerned

It's been about 200 miles since I changed the engine oil and it still shows golden on the dipstick. Is it doing its job?

I've changed oils on many engines and I've never seen this before.

I have to say that during the change, I did take the sump off to reseal it and washed it as well, but surely it should've darkened by now?

IMO no worries about that especially if you didnt drive it like a race car and it's a high quality oil

If I remember correctly, it's a Castrol "GTX", I think the main selling line was that it keeps your engine clean - although I imagined this would mean cleaning all the built up gunk and inevitably getting dirty.
