Wouldnt use a hammer at all! If it was someones knee that pushed it in then you want to push the dent out on the crease line from the inside. The vaccuum cups wouldnt pull in the right place - on the crease - so might deform the door more. A piece of wood and some gentle pressure should suffice.

Fitted cruise today oddly enough. Works really well! Charles, your Td5, is it chipped? I like the price or the JE, but its a bit of a journey for me, Im down on the south coast. Im interested to see just how it copes compared to my old truck though the LR has a much nicer ride and more toys!

Hi all, Thought I'd do the polite thing and say Hi, as Ive already tried to pick you guys brains in the Discovery thread!.... I'm down in East Sussex and recently picked up a 51 plate Td5 Discovery. I looked at buying one 2 years ago but the ones about then werent too good and I ended up buying...

£0 at the moment..... :) Still got a load of Castrol RS sitting around after a sponsorship deal, though Ive not put any in the Discovery yet, I assume its ok as its a 0W/40 fully synthetic race oil.

Sorted the problem this afternoon.... took the lever and end of the selector off. With a flap wheel I polished the pin that locates in the gate plate in the box. I removed all flat surfaces and rounded the bottom- rather than the flat as original. Refitted and hey presto - the box now changes...
