Possibly, wherever it's gone it's gone for good. I even lost a socket extension bar down the hole at the side of the engine bay, it disappeared amongst the leaves that seem to be stuck down there and so i'm guessing it's somewhere on top of the wheel arch covering. Yep - not very good at this...

Thanks, it's a 54 plate. Only problem with blanking is that I believe you also need the engine re-mapped aand I have concerns it will fail MOT emissions tests. It's okay though - the new valves are being delivered tomorrow and were not 'that' expensive (under £80 for both the left and the right...

thanks guys, it is not a double ended (solenoid) one.... the center interior light is but the one in the boot looks like a 'normal' light bulb....sadly too old so no markings on it any more though.

Thanks guys, as it turned out the fuse was fine but the wire had burned out.....(fuses are actually supposed to stop this from happening....never mind, its lesson learned :)

thanks for all the advice guys. I always use Shell VPower diesel - I wouldn't have it any other way. :) I think then i'll see how she runs after blanking off the EGR first (better I hope) :)
