    Well I have the official parts catalogues, and all I seem to have is reams of descriptions like "nut" and "bolt". Only a very few have the sizes. What am I missing? And I don't have much experience but I'm on a steep curve.

    Stuck removing the engine

    Yep - it's out:) But another interesting thing - the manual says put a 1" block of wood under the bell housing to support the gearbox, but when I finally got the engine out, the box tipped back, another reason it might have jammed. So it'll needs a jack to hold it down when I refit the engine.

    Thanks guys. In the end I jacked it up in the middle, and whacked the end of the gearbox down. This made a tiny gap which I put a shim in, then I jacked up the gearbox, and got a shim in underneath, and so on, until I got it split. I just didn't expect it to be so tight.
