I've got a SIII 2.25 diesel which I've decided to replace with a 2.5 NAD. I've got the workshop manual and disconnected/removed eveything I can see that needs disconnecting. I put the hoist on, got the mountings out, and there I'm completely stuck. Are there any tricks involved? This is a first time project for me. Is it just gunge or corrosion round the bell housing? Do I whack it with something, if so where to avoid damage?
I've already tried plan B - take the engine out with the gearbox all together, but I can't find the balance point - it still weighs a ton at the back, and I don't think I'll ever get it all back in again.
Any ideas out there.....
