As far as I am aware the only way to get a formal reading other than CoC is to get it tested via: Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme (CVRAS).
However I've heard it's prohibitively expensive.
I can't see anything that looks like an EGR on my Thor. Other than inlet runner length I think the main difference that improves emissions is the higher fuel pressure. 3.5 bar vs 2.5 bar.
You need to register your car with TFL here
https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/compliance-registration/before-you-start
They need the coc, copy of V5, and a letter from land rover.
Land rover refused to give a letter but TFL accepted the V5 and CoC on their own.
Don't know.
According to this the Euro II standard were specified in directive 94/12/EC for passenger cars, but in directive 96/69/EC for heavy motor cars and light-duty vans.
Mine field.
What dates are on your COC's. Not the date registered, but the date for Type Approval?
I ask because those figures don't meet EURO2 requirements [HC + NOx: 0.5g/km] - https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/euro-emissions-standards/
They meet EURO 1, but it would have to have been type...
I initially emailed [email protected]. Probably sent about four emails before I got a response which included the CoC form to fill in.
This form was then sent to
[email protected]
They wanted the form, V5 copy and driving license copy
Good to know.
I was looking in Rimmer Bros as there's a massive price difference between genuine and aftermarket hoses:
After market: £12 (https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-ANR4704P)
Genuine: (125 (https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-ANR4703)
or OEM (never really know the difference between OEM and...
I wondered this, but couldn't decide if it is one of those things that happened to somebody once and now it gets blamed for each unexplained occurrence of binding brakes, or is it actually a common thing to happen?
So when I got home last night I was overtaken by a cloud of smoke coming from my offside rear wheel.
The brakes and whole alloy were very hot, ticking away, and it looked like it wanted to catch fire. Lots of smoke.
I've taken a look today and it's magically freed itself off.
I removed the...
I'm looking to buy one of these headlining kits for a P38
https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/range-rover-headlining-kits.php?
My car has lightsome cream interior but has a headliner that looks to be made out of some old curtains.
I'm assuming that to stick with standard colours I...
This is what annoys me about the whole system. I carried out some random checks of other 4.0 Thor P38's and they still come up as non compliant. Cheeky since TFL know they are now compliant.
