Thanks Max - that's very helpful... I had a look to see if it would pull off but it seemed pretty firm and as I wasn't sure which way it comes off I left it. The pic is useful on that too - knowing where the clips are and which way they point is v useful in getting them to pop out so cheers 🍻

Nothing about alternator on service history for my '52 TD4 but at 90k miles it's hardly been used. Got the air con recharged a couple days ago. Not sure if it's ever been done, wondered if it had a leak but happy to say it's working perfectly so far 🤩
