    Rattling noise

I did adjust the handbrake last September, I'll check that one cheers.

    Rattling noise

I'm getting a rattling metallic sound whilst driving along. Sounds like lhs with the windows open but I could be imagining it. Checked underneath for anything loose and fixed an exhaust shield, but that wasn't it. Played around a bit and "seems" to go when the clutch is dipped, so thinking...

NSF ABS sensor output too low

Paddocks do a cheap one, but you get what you pay for. http://www.paddockspares.com/parts-and-accessories/land-rover-discovery-2/axle.html?p=3 "Buy cheap, buy twice" they say, but at a third of the cost I took the risk. Labour? Definite DIY job if you read up on it and get a couple of tools...

NSF ABS sensor output too low

If it's the ring (integral to the hub) you'll either have to change the hub or keep resetting it forever! At least you have to ability to read your own codes.

    Oil change...wtf!!!

Mines been changed 13 times, same plug, no problems!!

    TD5 Wheel Bearings (calling Clutchdust)

Bearing in mind the bit it screws onto- you're keeping!!

    Remote won't open car

Push/tow it down the road first. They're susceptible to interference from various things. Wireless Weather station (eg) with a low battery can interrupt the signal and stop it working. Try it tomorrow, roll it down the road, try it again. Worth a go- it's FREE!!!

    TD5 Wheel Bearings (calling Clutchdust)

I used a 32mm socket and a 1000Nm wrench (taller than me it is! £70 off eBay, but done three now so paid for itself!!)

    dash lights on???

As said, you won't ever know without finding out what the fault codes are. Find your local garage that know Land Rovers (or someone on here!) and get it checked and reset. If the fault say it's the hub, you'll need a new one (or two in my case!) It's a DIY job if you research properly and takes...

    Starting problems

As said, the fpr is leaking, so has to be changed anyway. Start there.

    Starting problems

Leaking FPR is an MOT fail, not to mention a waste of diesel! Mine leaked bad but I had no trouble starting it. Still needs doing though and it's a bitch of a job! (DIY, just fiddly)

    Hi Guys!

Welcome. I'm not an offroader so can't advise there but had my 2002 TD5 since 2003! Crunchy gears? If you don't know when/if it's been done a gear oil change is a simple and worthwhile thing to do. Might as well do the rest while you're there and make a day of it! (Txfr box/diffs) Re central...

    Headlight glass protectors?

I had the protectors for the first six years. Had to keep buying more as they get brittle and break etc. (And they're bleeding expensive) Got fed up in the end and chucked them in the bin. I prefer the cleaner look without them tbh.

    Will I regret buying this?

If you're a "keen DIY enthusiast" you should be able to keep a D2 on the road fairly cheaply. I've had my TD5 D2 for over 11 years and it's had its problems, but using these forums etc there's not much you can't sort at home. (Unlike the newer Discos!) I don't know the mpg of a V8 but isn't...

    Weird lack of lights

No, not a DJ by profession, D and J are my initials and just happen to have a Disco!

    Weird lack of lights

Couple of times I've switched dipped to main beam the lights have gone out (good fun at 60 down country road!!) Got to be the stalk in my case, seems coincidental to your symptoms. Putting the key in/out could be just enough vibration to tip a dodgy stalk switch. NB you WERE on the dark side...

    Radio removal

You sure it's original? Picture would help get the advice needed. I'd suggest going to a local motor factors as they sell the removal tools usually.
