Would anybody have a wiring diagram for a defender 90? I need to rewire it as my rear lights keep fusing due to a short in the wiring somewhere. After looking in depth ive found that most of the wiring needs replacing.Any tips or a diagram would be most helpfull.

I,m after a defender 90 rear door and two front doors.

quick update the problem just vanished must of had something untoward being sucked up the fuel lines. running fine now and pulling like a pack of huskies with hardons :)

sorry should of said ive renewed every part of the fuel system in december last year with genuine parts. had an issue with air in fuel it turned out to be a fault with the injector pump. that was after i changed every pipe from tank to injector pump/ lift pump/fiter housing and injectors. so i...

ok will go back to problem solving solutions then. noticed a damp injector run off pipe. will try that next. the performance is just gutless when the revs get higher in third and fourth gear. feels like a lack of boost from turbo however i can hear it wind up under load:confused:

thanks but the levels are checked every couple off weeks. solved problem on anotrher thread turned out to be handbrake faulty

problem solved the shoes adjuster had snapped off from the backplate on the transmission brake thus creating the orrible noise. sorted rodders:)

ill strip down the handbrake drum tommorow and have a nosy. it sound more of a toothy grinding noise which makes me worried its the diff !

if its the handbrake binding that would make sense as the vehicle was sorned for 3 months. i did however release the handbrake when i put it away to his wee bed!

it sounds like the rear nearside hub or maybe rear diff. its a Lreg 90 hardtop.

im getting a grinding noise and some resistance when reversing my 90. Any suggestions ! dont reckon its clutch or gearbox because allswell when moving forward.:confused:

i also used to run my 200 just below the red before a did the head overhaul. Now it gets to just under halfway.So i would suggest that your engine is running hot or as you said check the gauge. Check the earth connection to the thermostat aswell! i had to rig up a new earth to the rocker cover...

sorry to all about not getting back to you with an update. I was posted away for a spell! perks of the job!!!! not :) i ended up getting a reconned injection pump for 500 bangers as the old pump was tampered with far to much to ever get it back to life. Good news is the new pump worked its like...
