    Are remoulds any good?

This.... the old 70s used to be retreads, not sure if they do retreads for passenger/lgv thesedays, they still do them for hgv, you still occasionally see the odd tread thats come adrift on the side of the motorway. oh, and apparently they do them for planes too :)

    MOD sales

The army carried on using the 300tdi after the TD5 came in, they had concerns over the ECU sheilding, and in feild servicing, so the ex mil ones are TD5 bodies, interior etc, but still with the 300TDI fitted. Then only exMOD proper TD5s out there were for civvy use, or some that stayed on UK bases.

    Sunroofs...

The one you have lifts out, you just need a flat blade screwdriver. Open the roof to its highest, then look at the back of where the wheel is, you will see a bit of metal with a notch in it, using the screwdriver in the notch you push (IIRC) and the hinge comes apart, tilt roof up further and...

    welding gas

Surely the point of argon is it isnt an active gas? chemically speaking it reacts with naff all, being one of the noble gases, presuming with welderficating, it prevents reaction with O2, so make all the heat go into the metal, as apposed to CO2, where a very small amount will break down to...

    welding gas

Interesting reading there, cheers. Might get meself a little bottle of mixed for tidier welds when I need em, but tbh I bought me welder mainly for the chassis, so the bit of untidyness doesnt really matter, and its still infinatly tidier than gassless.
