Hi all - trying to help out a friend abroad with his 1986 V8 defender 90 3.5l carb who has got a mechanical oil pressure gauge to fit - the fitting kit has various threaded unions but doesn't have any T pieces with it so I can't plumb the take off into the oil pressure switch fitting.
Is there anywhere else I can take off a direct oil pressure feed - looking at the oil filter housing, there appear to be two blanking plugs, one on the side and one underneath - I have a feeling the one on the side is the pressure relief valve so no good, but what does the other plug do and is this a possibility?
Getting any parts where we are is very limited so something like an adapter plate between oil filter and housing is out of the question.
Any advice gratefully received.
